“Bhai Harmeet Singh PhD was a very studied young man, who to put the Kaum first, to give the Panth a prosperous future, and to stop the many different attacks happening on the Sikh kaum entered the battlefield, but at the hands of Hindustani agents, with an attack from behind he drank the holy nectar of Shaheedi.”
In this movement to get freedom many have become shaheed. Among all these one stands out. Out like a diamond in the rough. Shaheed Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD alias Happy. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD gave the Panth everything he had. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD moved the revolution forward for many years and carried the entire weight of this movement on his shoulders for this generation.
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD was born on September 24, 1981 in Chheharta Sahib, Amritsar district. From a young age, Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD was religious in nature, mild, and very sociable. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD always kept sharda in Maharaj. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD was also quite intelligent. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD topped his MA in religious studies and in psychology from Punjabi University, Patiala. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD became a junior research fellow at Guru Nanak Dev University while also pursuing a PhD. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD was making 12,000 rupees a month, but Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD had no desire for Maya. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD was about to give up everything for the Panth.
During the mid 2000s the Panth was at a low point. There were many attacks going on. State-sponsored fascist, terrorist, and bigoted groups began undermining Sikhi. They not only attacked Sikhi from the outside, but they also attacked from within. The state was also flooding drugs into Punjab and profiting off of it. That generation had forgotten Sikhi, but a few jewels hadn’t. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD worked hard doing parchar during this time.
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD began visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib daily listening to gurbani and kirtan. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD would be immersed in simran and seva. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD daily did a humble Ardas at the feet of Sri Satguru Maharaj saying
“O Guru, sustainer/nourisher of the poor, have mercy on me, give me the courage, initiative, and wisdom to serve the Panth so that this life can be complete and successful.”
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD soon realized that there was no legal way to stop the attacks happening on Sikhi. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD asked Guru Ji to put him on a path. Satguru Ji answered his benti. One day while doing his usual prayers at Harimander Sahib Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD met Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang. 2 diamonds had joined. Both were deeply hurt by the attacks on Sikhi and wanted to help the kaum. This meeting in the holy premises of Sri Harimander Sahib would see a pair of warriors form a force that would go into the future together to create new history. With this meeting, 2 warriors made an alliance pledging to give everything to the Panth. These 2 warriors would shake the walls of Chandigarh, and Delhi. These 2 warriors would go down in the history books together.
In May 2007, Ram Rahim, who led a cult that would exploit people named Dera Sacha Sauda [DSS], mocked Sarbat de Dhani Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Mahraj by wearing clothing Maharaj wore and even putting kalgi on. He further made his own Amrit and distributed it. Such an attack on Sikhi has always had a mouth-breaking response. Further, Ram Rahim with the crooked police opened fire on peaceful Sikh protesters making 2 Shaheed.
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD abandoned his studies and joined Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang to punish Ram Rahim. Both had given up all their maya, all their attachments, and their future for the Panth. The fateful day to punish Ram Rahim came. On February 2, 2008, Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD and warriors launched an attack on Ram Rahim. They threw an RDX-laced explosive at him. On that day the sinner lived, but 11 of his fellow sinners were injured with 2 seriously.
Nevertheless, this completely shook India. No one knew who had done it. This was the genius of Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD at work. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD made more plans to kill Ram Rahim. Weapons Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD planned to receive to kill Ram Rahim were seized by police. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD soon went underground on November 5, 2008, saying bye to his family for the last. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD had truly given it all for the Panth. The next day police raided Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD’s home, but he was already gone.
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD went to work with Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang to stop the attacks on Sikhi and to take the evil enemies doing them. During this time Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang took over Khalistan Liberation Force. After careful planning, they were ready to strike again. On July 28, 2009, athedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD and other warriors killed Rulda Singh the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat President. Rulda was shot as he was entering his house in Scorpio vehicle he was driving. He would die of his bullet wounds. Rashtriya Sikh Sangat had been distorting Sikhi and was trying to integrate Sikhi into Hinduism. They were changing our history and doing false parchar. For this Rulda was killed. This completely shook Delhi and all of India. No one knew who did it, but KLF and Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD were not done. The same day, DSS Sirsa Manager Lilly Kumar was killed in Ludhiana. Kumar was shot by 4 KLF warriors on motorcycles. Lilly was one of the highest members in DSS and was directly responsible for attacks on Sikhs and for attacking Sikhs during protests.
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD and Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang made their way to Malaysia and established a base there. Soon Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD reentered India to finish off a major enemy. The target was Dr. Budh Parkash Kashyap. He was a perpetrator of the 1984 Sikh Genocide. In his area over 300 Sikhs were made Shaheed. The Genocide saw over 20,000 Sikhs become shaheed, 1000s of women raped, and 1000s of cases of beadbi. Kashyap had a major part in this.
On October 31, 2009, the 25-year anniversary of the beginning of the Genocide Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD entered Kashyap’s clinic disguised as a patient. When the time came Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD put a mask on and held a knife in his hand. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD attacked Kashyap as he examined a patient stabbing him twice, on the head and chest. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD then left the scene.
“A perpetrator of the widespread Sikh killings, Dr Bhud Parkash Kashyap, was assassinated by the KLF. “On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Indira Gandhi’s assassination, the KLF paid tribute to the martyrs of 1984”. This operation has shaken the remaining perpetrators of the mass Sikh killings who participated during the genocide.”

India had no idea who was doing it. They merely knew the name of the organization. In 2010 they found out and tipped off police in Malaysia. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD and Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang evaded multiple arrest attempts and made their way to Pakistan. Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang began establishing sleeper cells all over Europe. On November 7, 2014, Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang was arrested in Delhi and Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD became the new Jathedar of KLF.

Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang despite being in jail had a phone with him and used it to keep communicating with Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD planned multiple assassinations in the next few years.
On April 13, 2015, KLF shot Shiv Sena Punjab secretary Harvinder Soni in the stomach at 8:30 a.m. in Fish Park. Although Soni managed to survive the attack it sent shivers down the spine of anti panthic individuals. Soni had assaulted innocent Sikh youth in 2012.
In July 2015 Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD mailed letters to seven Shiv Sena leaders including Sanjeev Ghanauli, Rajeev Tandon, Rakesh Arora, Amit Arora, Rubal Sandhu, Sachin Ghanauli, and Rajesh Palta that gave a last warning for them to leave Punjab.
On August 3, 2015, the president of the Punjab wing of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Suraksha Samiti, Manish Sood, was killed. He was shot dead by his guard. Hindu leaders claimed KLF paid the guard to kill Sood. They claimed Sood had been receiving death threats from KLF after he attempted to attack Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara while Hawara was heading to court. Sood had previously pulled down posters showing Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Police denied KLF being involved although it is possible this was done by Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD.
“He was very educated, and a world class scholar, but he preferred to remain anonymous and did not have any desire of recognition or praise, and [spent] every moment and breath working for the wellbeing of the Sikh nation. Bhai Sahib was a unique saint soldier of this present day, and it is very difficult at this time to find another like him. He was one of the chosen people. Everybody is not destined to get martyred. We salute him!”

Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD had been carefully a bigger attack on Pantic enemies. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD had chosen 2 individuals, Bhai Hardeep Singh Ji Shera and Bhai Ramandeep Singh Ji Bagga. They were given the duty to finish the Pantic dushmans. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD trained them and then sent them to Punjab to finish the dushmans. After each mission, Bagga and Shera would leave the country.
On January 19, 2016, RSS leader Naresh Kumar was shot at and injured by Bagga and Shera at Kidwai Nagar's Shaheedi Park in Ludhiana.
On February 3, 2016, Amit Arora, a Shiv Sena leader, was attacked by Shera and Bagga while he was sitting in his car in Ludhiana. Bagga fired, but missed his shot.
Since Shera and Bagga were missing their shots they were trained by Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD to be perfect at shooting. After this, they never missed a shot.
On April 23, 2016, Durga Parsad Gupta was shot dead by Bagga and Shera in Khanna. He was the President of Mazdoor Sena, the labor wing of Shiv Sena Punjab.
On August 6, 2016, RSS Punjab Vice-President and retired Brigadier, Jagdish Gagneja was shot at by Bagga and Shea in Chandigarh. This completely shook India. They put a 5,000,000 reward for any information on the shooters, but this didn’t stop KLF.
On November 27, 2016, Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang escaped from maximum security Nabha jail with 5 accomplices. 15 gangsters, who were dressed as police officers, opened fire on security guards in the prison before freeing Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang and 5 others. This was masterminded by Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD. Although Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Nihang was recaptured a day later it showed the potential KLF had under Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD.

On January 14, 2017, Amit Sharma religious preacher, president of Hindu Takht, and political activist of the Indian National Congress killed in Ludhiana by Bagga and Shera.
On February 24, 2017, DSS followers and Shiv Sena leaders Satpal Kumar and his son Ramesh Kumar were killed at a prayer hall in Jagera village near Malaudh by Bagga and Shera.
On July 15, 2017, Sultan Masih, a pastor at Temple of God church in Ludhiana, was shot dead by Bagga and Shera who fired multiple shots killing him on the spot.
On October 17, 2017, RSS and BJP =leader Ravinder Gosai was shot dead in Ludhiana by Bagga and Shera. He was the RSS regional leader of Ludhiana. In the escape, Shera and Bagga avoided all CCTV cameras. The bike used in the killing had been stolen a week later and would be found abandoned by police.
On October 23, 2017, police put a reward of 5,000,0000 rupees and a job as Sub-Inspector for information to solve the killings which made the total reward 10,000,000.

In November 2017 Bagga and Shera were arrested by Punjab Police. This didn’t stop KLF or Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD. On April 18, 2018, Jathedar Bhai Harminder Singh Ji Nihang was made Shaheed in jail.
On November 18, 2018, a grenade attack occurred at a Nirankari prayer hall in Adliwal, Amritsar. The blast claimed 3 lives including 1 preacher and left over 20 injured. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD had punished the Nirankari’s for their continued attacks on Sikhi. This sent Punjab into a frenzy. The Chief Minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh, put a 5,000,000 rupee reward for any information on who did it. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD shook all of India with each of his actions. In 2019 Interpol issued a red notice on Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD.
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD had done many actions, but eventually, Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD’s time to go to Sachkhand arrived. On January 27, 2020, Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD was shot at by 2 Hindustani agents near Dera Chahal Gurdwara in Lahore. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD became Shaheed. Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD was so powerful that India couldn’t take him down, so they made him Shaheed through treachery. R&AW agents made Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD. It was not just India who stole this jewel from us, but it was also Pakistan. Pakistan refused to hand over Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD’s body to his family. Pakistan also denied Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD’s Shaheedi claiming nothing happened. These 2 nations worked together to rob a jewel from us.
Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD might not live with us, but he will continue to live in our hearts. Jathedar Bhai Ranjodh Singh Ji took over KLF after Jathedar Bhai Harmeet Singh Ji PhD. KLF has continued to be strong under Jathedar Bhai Ranjodh Singh Ji’s leadership. Let us do Ardas for this to continue.
Shaheed Bhai Harmeet Singh (Happy/PhD) will be seen as a glowing figure of sacrifice and dedication in this day and age of the Sikh sangarsh. Someone so young, so brilliant, and so committed that he left his home, family, a bright academic future and replaced that with a life of danger, exile, loneliness, and what the world would see as poverty, pain and eventually death. This is the type of life and death that Ardas is done for in the Sikh world… The attack on Bhai Harmeet Singh by Indian agencies in such a desperate and brazen fashion show the extent to which India is operating in order to quash the Sikh sangarsh and the fear they have from committed and honest Sikh leadership… The Sikh sangarsh is dictated by the Gurus bachans and hukams and is not subject to worldly laws and political systems.
